Two years on the streets as Batman, striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has plunged Bruce Wayne into the shadows of Gotham City. When a killer targets Gotham’s elite in a series of sadistic schemes, cryptic clues lead the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters characters such as Selina Kyle / Catwoman, Oswald Cobblepot / The Penguin, Carmine Falcone and Edward Nashton / The Riddler. As the evidence begins to hit home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the criminal, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.
